My sister Danielle gave me an interesting book about living with intention, or intentional living. Written by young Dutch journalist Ernst-Jan Pfauth, the book stems from his personal experience of burn-out, which led him to research 'simple habits for more focus and happiness'. He did this by reading and reviewing self-help books on happiness, grounded in scientific research. He also interviewed several of the authors and started hosting a podcast in which he talks with guests about thir 'life lessons'. The book is based on this research, and discusses seven simple habits to develop more focus in your life and experience more happiness:
1. Less deferring and procrastination, focus on what you do.
2. Change your focus from performing to learning something in which you believe.
3. What can you do for someone else today?
4. What are you grateful for, and why?
5. What financial savings can you achieve in order to have more control of your time?
6. Spending time with people you love.
7. Live according to your personal values.
Gradually adopting these habits will create a life of intention and results in more sustainable happiness, according to Pfauth.

Myanmar earthquake survivors need our help:
On march 28, Myanmar was hit by a 7.7 earthquake, with devastating consequences for a population already suffering from four years and counting of civil war. Until now, support is mostly organised and provided by civilians and local organisations. Please donate generously to sustain the long-suffering people rom Burma/Myanmar. Funding going directly to community groups is the best, for example: https://gofund.me/c210efcc
